Book: Enemies To French Kisses
Author: Elsie Woods
Genre: Romance
Format: E-book
Pages: 248
Enemies To French Kisses by Elsie Woods is the second book in the “Falling in Paris” series which can be read as a standalone as well, the first one being “Falling for French Kisses”, which was one of my favourite reads of the 1st half of this year, and I was waiting to read this book and have high expectations from it, and it delivered it, much more than my expectations.
This is the story of Laura, who came from Texas to Paris, and now living with her friends in a box-like apartment there, working at Innov’ Biotech and proving her potential. And there she meets Marc Lemaire, an arrogant idea thief, who she hates from the core of her heart! But when a minor incident leads Marc to the hospital. And she finds herself in Marc’s apartment, being his wife because of his Amnesia! And to know more about them, read the book!
The author shines again with her characters and character development, just like the first one in the series. There are layers, emotions, background, past, family, and friends and it all leads to a beautiful characterization.
The main highlight for me for this book, again, is the relationship between the characters. Laura’s dynamics with her brother, Brian, is one of the best sibling relationships I have read in a while. The friendship and emotional turmoil that Laura shares with her friends is a standout. Marc’s relationship with his brother, Alain, also plays a key role and it feels good to see their growth. Vincent’s character was the most surprising one and gave so many laugh-out-loud and unforgettable moments.
And it would be less no matter how much I say about Laura and Marc. The Enemies-To-Lovers troupe was made for them. Their banter and chemistry were everything. And I loved watching them(haters will say reading 💁🏽♂️).
The writing of the author is more connecting and deepening in this book, and one can feel the growth in the author’s writing style, which makes this book more heartwarming.
If you are looking forward to reading a fast-paced, emotionally filled, roller coaster, enemies-to-lovers, clean romance book, set in the city of love, Paris, go for this book! It would be a treat to read. I highly recommend it! And I can’t wait to read the third part of this series already!
I was provided an E-ARC of the book in exchange for an honest review.
You can buy the book from Amazon and it’s available on Kindle Unlimited as well.
If you liked the review or have any feedback, don’t forget to let me know in the comments! Also, if you haven’t followed my blog till now, what are you waiting for?

I’ve always been a fan of stories set in Paris, so the backdrop alone already has me captivated. The enemies-to-lovers trope is one I can never resist.
